The Laundry Powder Story

Developed in 2013, The Soap Company of Nova Scotia's laundry powder has been put to the test in homes (and businesses) across the continent. We are confident it will end your search for a natural product that consistently delivers fresh & clean results . . . it’s quite simply a whole lot of dirty, stinky, cleaning with meaning!

This laundry powder works in all kinds of water, is great in both high efficiency (HE) machines & standard washers, plus does extra duty as a cleaner for walls, floors & more!

A little goes a long way, too! One tablespoon does a load of cloth diapers, hockey or mechanic's clothes! Plus, fabric doesn’t streak or fade & no residue is left to irritate skin. 

No dryer sheets or fabric softener needed

For high efficiency & regular machines, top load & front load. 

Tough on stains & gentle on fabric. 

Septic safe, not tested on animals, low suds, for all temperatures of water.

Handcrafted in small batches with care. 

Ingredients

Washing soda, borax, Pure & Simple Soap (sea water, saponified oils: olive, coconut, soybean, palm 

Scented options also have the corresponding essential oils
Acadian Forest ~ balsam, cedarwood, pine & birch
Citrus ~ lemon & orange
Lavender ~ lavender
Patchouli ~ patchouli, bergamot, geranium & orange

How to Use Laundry Powder

Instructions ~ Use in High Efficiency Washer (1tsp to 2tsp per load ~ depending on soil level)

• Option 1 – Put powder in tray
• Option 2 – Mix powder with water & put in tray
• Option 3 – Put powder into drum with laundry

Instructions ~ Use in Standard Washer (1/2Tbsp to 2Tbsp per load ~ depending on soil level)

• Put powder into washer whenever you prefer 😉

Instructions ~ Use for Hand Wash

• Mix small amount of powder in water
• Submerge article to be cleaned & agitate gently
• Let soak 5 to 15 minutes
• Rinse well & dry as usual
